The wind off the North Sea carried a salty bite as I pulled up to Hvidbjerg Strand Feriepark in Blåvand. It was a gray afternoon in late autumn, with dunes stretching out toward the beach nearby. I had heard about this spot from a friend who vacations here often, and I decided to check out their wellness area for a proper sauna session.

Inside the park, the setup felt welcoming, like a cozy retreat from the coastal chill. I paid the 125 DKK at the front desk and headed to the changing rooms. The place runs sessions every day of the week, which made it easy to fit into my schedule.

I stepped into the sauna room, where the dry warmth greeted me right away. The wood benches were smooth under my towel, and I settled in for the 45-minute session. A few other visitors joined, keeping things quiet and relaxed.

As the minutes passed, the heat grew steady, pulling sweat from my skin. I focused on my breathing, letting the warmth sink deep. No fancy rituals here, just straightforward sauna time that felt grounding after a day of walking the sandy paths outside.
